How long does a lipolysis injection treatment take?
The length of your procedure and number of injections will vary depending on your body type and personal situation. Smaller areas, like targeting a “double chin”, may take notably less time than targeting the stomach and thighs, etc. You’ll know more about what to expect after the consultation with a ViveWell expert.
What are the side effects?
Side effects of injection lipolysis therapy includes temporary inflammation/swelling of the targeted areas, pain or discomfort at the injection site and/or in the target areas (including but not limited to: bruising, redness, other skin irritation symptoms), and other, less common side effects on a per-person basis. Inflammation is a necessary component of the process that the injections dissolve the fat cells in your targeted areas. In other words, inflammation is a sign it is working. It typically subsides on its own in the first week following your procedure.
How many treatments will be necessary?
The exact number of treatments will vary depending on your initial body conditions and your overall goals. Some patients may achieve their desired results within two or three appointments. Whereas others may need as many as five or six sessions. Higher volumes of fat in areas may increase the number of appointments needed.
How often will I need appointments?
Expect to visit ViveWell Health for a fat removal appointment every four to six weeks, on average. You will receive a more accurate and personalized appointment frequency estimate after your consultation.
When can I expect to see results?
The fat dissolving effects begin right after the procedure and reach peak effectiveness near 5 or 6 weeks, on average. However, some patients continue to experience ongoing improvement afterwards, and with repeated sessions. Your provider will prescribe additional visits as needed until you are happy with your results. Though, we reserve the right to recommend cessation of, or withhold treatment, in some cases of medical necessity, and/or if other health conditions must be adequately addressed before continuing.
